The fifth largest city of the Netherlands is also known for its reputation in technology and design. It's not for no reason you can find the Technical University of Eindhoven, the Design Academy and main international companies such as Philips in our town.

On the other hand, Eindhoven is also one of those unique cities where you can find tranquillity next to a exciting city life. You can be advised on our biking- and hiking tours in the region, where you can find the illustrious Dutch woods or enjoy our "Genneper" parks, where sports and nature combine. Also the region "Kempen " and "Peel'" are famous for the small rivers, historical landscape and smaller fauna.

Some highlights you simple can not afford to mis:

  • The world famous van Abbe museum of contemporary art. On display are the paintings of Picasso, Mondriaan and Appel.
  • Philips has its roots in Eindhoven. Everybody knows the football club PSV, which originated from the company. Also visit the Philips museum and get an impression of the company's history dating from 1891. Reserve tickets for the classical concerts in the Frits Philips Music Hall, or would you rather visit a pop concert? Please note: the more than life size statue of Frits Philips is guarding the entrance of our hotel, overlooking the Market square of his beloved city.
  • Return to the middle ages in our Historical Outdoor museum, where the city of "Endehoven" comes to life.
  • There are numerous festivals held in our city, for example be informed about the Fiësta del Sol

At the Historical Open-air Museum Eindhoven you can experience the illustrious past of our city. The museum is a copy of the village 'Eversham', originating in the Iron Age ( 750-50 B.C), a reconstruction of an original farm, dating from the year 1000 and the Medieval town 'Endehoven'
